Barbara Glanznig - Ashtanga Yoga
vande gurūṇāṁ caraṇāravinde saṁdarśita svātma sukhāvabodhe

I bow to the lotus feet of the eternal teacher (guru), who has given us the practice, which can remove
the poison of conditioned existence so we can experience true happiness.
Yoga Taravali, Adi Shankara
My first contact with Ashtanga Yoga was in 2001 and with time and some experience, cultivating a sattvic lifestyle and consistent practice became cornerstones of my life. The Ashtanga yoga system is complex and has incredible power to transform and I wanted to learn this method the old fashioned way - at the feet of an experienced teacher (paramparā). Certified, senior Ashtanga yoga teacher and lineage holder Annie Pace took me in as her apprentice and my studies with her are on-going. Additionally, I travel to India to study traditional Hindustani music and eastern philosophy with my teachers, as well as asana with Saraswathi Jois at the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore.
